What the totals mean
Storage rounds up to whole billing periods after included months. Rates stay unchanged in this projection; actual contracts may use different start dates, partial-period rules or future increases. The horizon is an input, not a statement of legal storage limits.
The low–high range varies medication only. It excludes any fees you have not entered, future price rises, interest and benefit reimbursements. Possible future use and lost income remain separate. This tool does not estimate treatment suitability or recommend a number of cycles.

This is not an estimate of average market prices. The calculator uses the amounts you enter. The sample is invented for demonstration, not taken from a clinic or presented as a typical US, UK or Australian cost.
Calculation and assumptions
One-cycle range: clinic package + other cycle charges + your low or high medication estimate. Only medication varies in this range.
Storage: subtract included months from the chosen years × 12, with a minimum of zero; divide by billing-period months and round up to a whole period; multiply by the fee per period. This assumes billing starts after the included months and every started period is charged in full. Check your contract for different rules.
Example: 5 years = 60 months. Less 12 included months leaves 48. At 12 months per billing period, that is 4 periods × $600 = $2,400. With the fictional $8,000 package, $1,200 extras and $3,000–$5,000 medication, the result is $14,600–$16,600.
Possible future treatment is added only as a separate scenario. Lost income is unpaid hours × entered hourly income. Time is visits × (visit hours + round-trip travel hours) + recovery days × hours set aside per day.
Long-term limitation: storage rates are held constant. Projections exclude inflation, fee increases, additional cycles, interest, reimbursements and any taxes, transfer or other charges you have not entered. A storage horizon is a planning input, not a legal entitlement or recommendation.

Confirm the actual provider and location, billing start date, included period, unit of charging, price-change terms, renewal/consent dates, contact-update process, transfer/transport charges, missed-payment procedure and options if plans change.
